1. About these terms
These Terms of Service govern your use of Xenon Rift, its website, and its online services, provided by CodersBrew. By using the services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them. Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled; it is not a waiver of your privacy rights.

2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age that applies in your country. If you are below the age of legal adulthood, use the service only with a parent or guardian’s permission.
Online play requires an account where sign-in is enabled. Keep your credentials secure, provide accurate account information, and do not use another person’s account without authorization. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for your conduct and for activity you authorize on your account.
Call signs must follow the game’s naming rules. Do not impersonate another person or choose names that are hateful, abusive, misleading, or infringe someone else’s rights.
3. Permission to play
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to download and play builds we make available, subject to these terms and applicable distribution-platform rules. The game, branding, artwork, code, and other materials remain owned by CodersBrew or their respective rights holders. Open-source components retain their own licenses.
You may share ordinary gameplay screenshots and videos, including in monetized streams, provided you respect others’ privacy and do not imply official endorsement. This does not authorize redistribution of game binaries, source code, or standalone assets without permission.
4. Fair play and acceptable use
Do not:
- Cheat, use unauthorized automation to gain an unfair advantage, manipulate scores, or exploit bugs instead of reporting them.
- Harass, threaten, discriminate against, impersonate, or expose private information about other people.
- Steal accounts, distribute malware, bypass access controls, overload services, or interfere with other players’ connections.
- Access non-public systems or data without authorization, or use the service for unlawful activity.
- Infringe intellectual-property rights or distribute unauthorized copies of the game.
Report security issues privately to support@codersbrew.com. Do not include secrets in public issue reports. Nothing in these terms restricts rights that applicable law does not allow us to restrict.
5. Development builds and service availability
Xenon Rift is in active development. Playtest builds may contain bugs, unfinished features, compatibility changes, interruptions, or resets to progression, galaxy state, and statistics. Do not rely on a playtest for permanent progression.
We may change features, balance, supported devices, access requirements, or service availability. We do not promise uninterrupted servers, access to a particular build, or indefinite operation of the online service. Updates may be required to connect. We will provide notice where reasonably practical and as required by law.
Any future paid offering will be subject to the pricing, purchase terms, and mandatory consumer protections presented for that offering. These playtest terms do not create a subscription or authorize a charge.
6. Feedback and third-party services
If you send suggestions or bug reports, you allow us to use that feedback to improve and promote the game without an obligation to pay or credit you. You retain ownership of your original materials; this permission does not allow us to ignore privacy or confidentiality obligations. Do not submit material you do not have the right to share.
Sign-in providers, distribution platforms, and linked websites have their own terms and policies. We do not control those third-party services. Their requirements may also apply when you use them.
7. Suspension, leaving, and deletion
We may restrict or suspend access to address cheating, abuse, security risks, legal requirements, or material violations of these terms. Where appropriate, we will consider the severity of the issue and provide an explanation or opportunity to contact us; urgent protection of the service may require immediate action.
You may stop using the service at any time. To delete your account, use Pilot → Account → Delete Account in the game, or contact support@codersbrew.com if you cannot access it. See our Privacy Policy for data-retention details. Contact support if you believe an access restriction was made in error.
8. Disclaimers and your legal rights
To the extent permitted by applicable law, development builds and services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without promises that they will be error-free, meet every expectation, or remain available without interruption.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, CodersBrew is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service, such as lost profits or lost data. We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including for fraud, intentional misconduct, or other liability that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer rights or other rights that cannot legally be waived. Applicable local law may give you additional protections.
9. Changes, questions, and disputes
We may update these terms as the game evolves. The latest version and its update date will be available on this page. We will provide notice of material changes where required; changes do not retroactively take away rights you already have under applicable law.
If a problem arises, contact support@codersbrew.com so we can try to resolve it. These terms do not require binding arbitration or prevent you from using courts, regulators, or consumer remedies available under applicable law.
